A technical glitch meant we missed this piece of special music from Andrea Hall on Sunday. I'd like to turn this into a happy accident by allowing it to usher us through these weeks of transition between now and Advent.
Listen for these lyrics:
"Here I wait for You
In the silence now
I'm holding on to Your truth
I won't take a single step
'Til I hear Your voice, I surrender"
As the days stretch darker and we consume more hot drinks and add more layers when we bundle up to venture out, may we allow the silence to quiet us.
May we breathe deep the rain-cleansed air and prepare our hearts for the voices of Angels, Shepherds, Mary, Joseph, and, most wonderfully, the cries of God born as a baby, here with us in all his vulnerability during the longest of nights.
Thank you, Andrea, for bringing us this gift for these darkening weeks ahead.
Love,
Pastor B
