In every life there are seasons, and Donna Perrin's seasons of service at Victoria Alliance Church have been filled with love, dedication, and wisdom. Her leadership over the years reflects Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.”

As we enter a season where Donna retires from formal service at VAC, we'd like to pause to thank her, and acknowledge and honour all she has done. She has faithfully followed Jesus' call on her life to build His Church here in Victoria in her own way, with her own unique gifts.

Donna has always embraced her calling to serve in the church and her community with a heart full of love and dedication. From Kids Ministry, where she nurtured young hearts, to Women’s Ministry and small groups, where she built connections and inspired growth, her impact was profound.

As an Elder and Pipeline Board Chair, Donna led with wisdom, humility, and care, ensuring that every decision honoured our community. Her servant heart also shone in day camps, Christmas parties, and roles like Share Tree coordinator and coffee ministry, where she brought joy, generosity, and connection.

In pastoral care and Alpha, Donna offered comfort and encouragement, embodying Christ’s love to those exploring faith or facing challenges. Even in small acts, such as reading scripture in a service, she honored God with her thoughtfulness, good sense of humour, and grace.

Donna’s legacy is one of faith in action, inspiring us all to serve with purpose, passion, and love, each in our own way as we have been gifted by God.

While Donna's formal volunteering days at VAC are coming to a close, we know she will continue to be present with a thoughtful word, a warm welcome, and the wisdom of her incredible experience to those of us following in her footsteps.

Thank you Donna, for everything. You are so loved by your church community.
