We have a number of designated funds at VAC. Here are some brief definitions to help guide your giving.
General Fund - the place that funds all operations and ministries at VAC. This includes everything from keeping our building warm to office supplies to programming for all ages to good wages for our staff and everything in between.
Barnabas Fund - funds compassion efforts in our community. A committee stewards this fund for things such as access to counselling, giving a hand up to those experiencing poverty, help for New Canadians settling in Victoria, and more. Click here for more info.
Missions Giving - Making Jesus Known Among Us, Around Us, Beyond Us
Among us: Camp Imadene - Our local camp is committed to presenting the good news of Jesus Christ and encouraging Christian growth. They provide guests with fun, safe, and unforgettable memories as they build life-long friendships. VAC actively participates on staff, volunteer crews, in prayer, and by giving to Camp.
Around us: The Community Youth - Originally known as "Esquimalt Community Youth", The Community Youth exists to establish contacts with youth, to challenge them to engage in a cause, and to connect with them in mentoring relationships to inspire them to live life in all its fullness in Jesus. Under the leadership of Cam Aiken, they serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of youth in Esquimalt through a daily breakfast program, youth groups, mentoring, camps, engaging youth in volunteer opportunities, and a drop-in youth space.
Beyond us: Operation Christmas Child - OCC is an effective ministry that brings the message of hope in Jesus to countries far beyond us through gift-filled shoeboxes. We participate in this every October-November and to date, our record number of boxes is 302.
Beyond us: Global Advance Fund - This is a National Alliance Fund. GAF supports International Workers and projects around the globe dedicated to sharing the Good News and love of Jesus.
