Greg Kuhn

Greg and his family have attended Victoria Alliance since the Fall of 2010 and
has been very actively involved as the Treasurer on the Church Leadership Team
(Board), as a Men’s group leader, and pretty much any other area that needs to
be done. He has been married to Tanya for almost 22 years and they have two
wonderful daughters, Alem and Tarikua, who are both 17, and off to college
soon. Tanya leads the Children’s Ministry Team at Victoria Alliance and both girls
are actively involved through volunteering in children’s ministry.
While Greg grew up in the Roman Catholic Church, his faith journey became real
and personal to him in Grade 11. A friend sitting behind him in Chemistry class
invited him to her youth group on a Friday night and he hasn’t looked back. Greg
even spent two years at Bible College following high school, which God used in
his future career.
After spending the last five and a half years at the University of Victoria, Greg
has just embarked on a new and exciting role as the Director of Philanthropy and
Communications at Mount St. Mary Hospital. His previous career, that spanned
over 22 years, was in the Royal Canadian Navy. Through his military service, he
was tasked with many secondary duties, such as being the acting Chaplain when
there was no Padre embarked and as the volunteer coordinator organizing
service opportunities at orphanages and Missions homes while deployed
overseas.
