With our new live-streamed services, our service's platform may look the same but there have been some big changes!
The company who supports us in producing these services is called LiveControl. They have provided us with some tips to guide you around best practices for watching Live-Streamed events. We're passing them on to you with hopes that they will support you as you join us from wherever you are:
Get your viewing page (Church Online) set up a few minutes ahead of time and ensure that your internet connection is strong.
If you came to the page before the event started, don't forget to click the play button.
Everything looking okay so far? Let's be sure you have your computer and web player volumes turned up! If you experience no or low volume, this is likely the culprit.
Does it look like there's a lag due to the event buffering? No problem! Refresh your open browser and everything should play as smoothly as expected.
If you're running into issues with the stream starting and stopping, try a different browser or a different device. Sometimes that will help!
If you're noticing that your viewing experience is extremely laggy, you can run a speed test here. If your internet speeds are slow, you may want to consider reaching out to your Internet Service Provider.
Casting on Google Chromecast & Apple Airplay: Though the web player should work through Chromecast and Airplay, not all TVs and Connected Devices are supported. You might have an older TV that doesn't have Chromecast built-in or might be trying to stream to an Xbox, Playstation or Roku which aren't supported right now. Please consult the help documentation for your device.
Once you're all set, enjoy your event!
Of course if you have any issues at all, please get in touch with the office. It is our joy to assist you in joining us for church, whether that's online or onsite.
