Thoughtful Thursday: Truth and Reconciliation Prayer Guide
What does it look like for us as a church to be committed to a ministry of reconciliation in Canada (2 Cor 5:18)?
In 2015, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (www.trc.ca) published 94 Calls to Action to repair the damage done by Residential Schools and the Sixties Scoop. These Calls to Action are intended to move Indigenous and non-indigenous Canadians together towards reconciliation.
Our church denomination developed a learning and prayer guide to raise awareness and guide us prayerfully through the Calls to Action. We will be using it in the coming months to learn more about what it looks like to participate in reconciliation with Indigenous folks in our country and our communities.
