We have news.  

After serving here at Victoria Alliance Church in a volunteer role for more than a decade, our beloved Worship Director, Marcello Sequiera,  will be stepping away from his volunteer position here  and heading up island to a full time pastoral position at Oceanside Community Church in Parksville, BC beginning April 1st.  

This news of course brings with it a shared sense of both joy and loss. We share in the joy and give thanks that Marcello will more fully be able to step into the calling God has on his life in a wonderful new role at Oceanside. We also share in the loss felt by our community here at VAC, as we have grown to love and appreciate all that Marcello, Kristina, Elijah, Lincoln, and Micah bring to our lives.  Yet above all we share in our trust in God to guide, provide, and sustain us all in whatever awaits in this new season ahead.

More details on how to offer your gratitude and farewells will be forthcoming, but until then, let us take a moment to offer these words of blessing and affirmation: Marcello, we are cheering you on in this new adventure.  It is with grateful hearts that we reflect on the many ways you and your family have enriched our community of faith.   May you all know the peace of Christ as you move through this transition.  Well done, friends.  You have served well and faithfully here.  May you always remember you are deeply loved.
